1-Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking a tour. This deposit is necessary to secure your reservation.

Balance Payment

The balance payment for your selected tour program is due no later than 15 days prior to the departure date of the tour. Failure to make the full payment by this deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking. If a reservation is made less than 15 days before the departure date, the entire cost of the tour must be paid at the time of the reservation.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Online Card Payments: Please contact our customer support for online card payments link.

Currency

All payments must be made in the currency specified during the booking process.

Initial Confirmation

Upon the receipt of the first deposit, a confirmation of your booking and initial tour information will be provided to you via email or regular mail, as per your preference. Please ensure that the contact information you provide is accurate and up to date.

Final Documents

Approximately 4 weeks prior to the scheduled departure date of your selected tour program, final tour documents will be prepared and mailed to you. These documents may include your itinerary, hotel infos, contact information for Guide and Driver, and other essential information regarding your tour.

It is your responsibility to review these final documents carefully and notify us promptly of any discrepancies or concerns.

2-Communication

We may communicate with you throughout the booking and tour process via email, phone, or other means of communication as necessary. Please ensure that you are accessible and responsive to our communications.

If you have any questions, concerns, or special requests, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support team, and we will do our best to assist you.

Cancellation Procedure

Any cancellation must be submitted in writing by mail. We do not accept cancellations made by telephone.

Cancellation Fees

Cancellations received less than 28 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will be subject to the following forfeiture fees:

  • 27-21 days prior to departure: 15% of the entire tour cost

  • Less than 21 days prior to departure: 30% of the entire tour cost

  • No-show: 100% of the entire tour cost

These fees are necessary to compensate for the costs and commitments we incur in preparation for your tour.

3-Refunds

If you are eligible for a refund due to a cancellation made within the specified timeframes and according to the terms outlined, the refund will be processed within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that the initial deposit, as specified above, is non-refundable.

4-Accommodation

Double Occupancy

All quoted tour prices are based on double occupancy, which means that the cost is calculated for two people sharing a room. This is the default arrangement for our tours.

Single Occupancy Amendments

If you prefer single occupancy, amendments can be made to your accommodation arrangements. Please inform us at the time of booking, and we will provide you with the applicable single occupancy rate and details.

Change of Accommodation

In rare cases where a change of accommodation is necessary for reasons beyond our control (e.g., hotel overbooking or unforeseen circumstances), Dahomey African Tours reserves the right to substitute it with another accommodation of a similar category. We will make every effort to ensure that the replacement accommodation is of equal or higher quality.

We will notify you of any such changes as soon as possible, and you will have the option to accept the substitution or, if necessary, request a refund based on our cancellation policy outlined above.

5-Liability

Acting as Agents

Dahomey African Tours and its agents act solely as agents to the passenger in all matters relating to travel. We act on behalf of various companies, owners, contractors, and suppliers who provide transportation and travel services. As such, Dahomey African Tours assumes no responsibility for the following, which may result directly from factors beyond our control: Act of God, Detention, Annoyance, Delays, Expenses arising from quarantine, Strikes, Theft, Pilferage, Force majeure, Failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, Civil disturbances, Terrorism, Government restrictions or regulations, Discrepancies or changes in hotel services over which we have no control

Itinerary Changes

Dahomey African Tours reserves the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of passengers. This includes, but is not limited to, the substitution of hotels, alteration of the itinerary, and changing the order of places to be visited.

Passenger Conduct

Dahomey African Tours and cooperating agencies reserve the right to remove anyone from a program without refund if they: Act in a manner that is unsafe for themselves or others, Behave inconsiderately or unsafely, Ignore the requests of their guide(s) to act in a safe and responsible manner.

6-Obligation

The participant, by engaging Dahomey African Tours and making a deposit and/or full payment for travel arrangements as specified, acknowledges the position of Dahomey African Tours as stipulated in the foregoing terms and conditions. The participant agrees to hold Dahomey African Tours blameless in making arrangements on his/her behalf, provided that these arrangements are made through generally accepted owners, suppliers, wholesalers, and/or contractors at the time of engagement. Furthermore, the participant agrees that any restitutions or damages, if claimed, shall be sought directly from the owners, wholesalers, and/or contractors responsible for the specific services or arrangements provided during the tour.

7-Insurance

Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend, for your own protection and peace of mind, that you and all members of your party obtain a suitable short-term traveler's insurance policy. This insurance should cover various aspects, including but not limited to: Baggage loss or damage, Accidents, Medical emergencies, Trip cancellations, Costs of assistance, including repatriation, in the event of an accident or illness while abroad. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance policy you purchase is suitable and adequate for your specific needs during the tour.

Pre-Travel Health Recommendations

We advise you to contact your physician before embarking on your tour and request them to provide you with the most current recommendations issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the countries you will be visiting during your tour.

Health Requirements

While we will make efforts to provide current information, Dahomey African Tours takes no responsibility for any health requirements or recommendations in Benin, Togo, and Ghana. It is your responsibility to stay informed and adhere to any health guidelines, vaccinations, or other medical precautions necessary for your travels in these countries.

By paying a deposit, the participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this proposal by Tours for services to be performed.
